Basic Rider Class Info
The Basic Rider class consists of approximately 5 hours of classroom and 10 hours of motorcycle training on the range. The time on the range is split over two days, and the classroom portion is offered in one or two sessions depending on your specific class date. Be sure to check the schedule. The class requires bicycle-riding ability and the physical strength to lift a small motorcycle upright from its leaning position on the kickstand. Although it is rare, some will be unable to learn the skills required to control a motorcycle in the time allowed. This class does not guarantee a certificate of completion. However, we do make every effort to help anyone who wants to become a motorcyclist achieve his or her dream.
The Basic Rider class has been developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and is taught around the country. Austin Moto Academy is focused on educating motorcyclists with an emphasis on safety.
